Laundry Prep

1. Before washing, sort your laundry by color and fabric type--separating whites, darks, and colors to avoid color bleeding, and dividing between heavier fabrics (like jeans and towels) and lighter ones (such as shirts and underwear).

2. Turn items with prints, delicate fabrics, or dark colors inside out to protect them during washing.

3. Inspect for loose buttons, open seams, or small tears and repair them to prevent further damage during washing.

4. Don't forget to empty pockets of any tissues, coins, pens, or other loose sharp objects to prevent damage to your clothes and the machines.

5. Always check clothing labels for specific washing instructions, noting items needing special care like hand washing or dry cleaning.

6. Do not overload the machines. Clothes should move freely for effective cleaning.
